Ali is a Graduate Gemologist of the world’s foremost Gemological Institute of America (GIA), a nonprofit institute which leads standards and education in diamonds, colored stones, and pearls. He studied jewellery craft at GIA campuses in Bangkok and New York and travelled to Sri Lanka and Cambodia to explore some of the world's best gemstone markets.

Ali spent most of his career at Jubilee Fine Jewellers as he maintained the roots of a family-owned business in Ottawa. His passion for jewellery allowed him to work with multiple jewellery brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Chopard, Lazare, and more.

With 17 years of experience in the industry, Ali never stops challenging himself and is currently working on Certified Gemologist Appraiser (CGA) certification from American Gem Society (AGS) to deepen his expertise in identifying precious stones and their value. 

Vero is another exciting journey for Ali as he aims to modernize the jewellery shopping experience.
