The classic solitaire with added presence along the band. Set with round brilliant cut accent diamonds halfway discreet enough to keep a dainty look, bright enough to carry real sparkle without taking away from the centre stone. A low-profile setting designed for daily wear and made to pair with any wedding band. Pictured with 1.8mm round brilliant cuts in VS/EF colour and a 2-carat centre stone. All rings are customizable and built around your diamond shape, size, and gold are yours to choose.

Colour
Colour grades how little tint a diamond holds. The scale runs D to Z.
We work with D and E. The top two, on every stone we set. It’s where we start and we don’t go below it.

Clarity grades how few inclusions a diamond holds. The scale runs FL to I3.
We work with VVS2. Inclusions you can’t find under a loupe, let alone with your eye. It’s our minimum and we don’t go below it.

Diamond shape
The outline of the stone. Shape changes how large a diamond looks at the same weight — an elongated cut covers more finger than a round one.
Carat
Weight, not size. Two stones of the same carat can look different depending on the shape and how they’re cut.

Everything here is made in our workshop. We alloy the gold, cast it, set the stones and finish it all by hand.
It’s where the lifetime warranty comes from. We know how the ring was made because we made it.

Questions
Why only 18K gold?
18K is 75% pure gold. It’s what the luxury houses use, and it’s what we build on.
14K is cheaper and harder. Harder sounds better until you understand what a ring goes through. Knocked against a doorframe, a counter, a car door, a hundred times a year for decades. 18K gives. It bends and absorbs the hit. Harder metal doesn’t give, so it cracks instead, and what cracks is the part holding your stones.
That’s the real cost of 14K. Cheaper at the counter, more expensive over a lifetime.
We alloy our own 18K in the workshop. That’s how we hold one standard across every ring, and how we mix our yellow lighter than the deep 18K yellow most people picture.
Why VVS2 minimum?
VVS2 is our minimum. Inclusions you can’t find under a loupe, let alone with your eye.
We hold it because grading isn’t perfectly consistent. Certificates vary, and a stone graded VVS2 in one lab can sit closer to VS1 in another. Setting our floor a grade high means that variance never reaches you.
With lab-grown stones the difference in price is small. So we don’t treat it as a decision. Every lab stone we set is VVS2.
Natural diamonds work differently. At that clarity and colour they’re rare and priced accordingly, so with a natural stone we’ll often look lower. That’s always a conversation, not a default. Ask us and we’ll walk you through it.
What does “made in-house” actually mean?
In this trade it usually doesn’t mean much. Most jewellers take your specs, send them out, and the ring comes back finished, often from overseas. The person you’re talking to never touches the metal.
We only make engagement rings and wedding bands. Nothing else. Every one is alloyed, printed, cast, set and finished at our bench in Ottawa, by the same hands that will resize it years from now.
Well-made, and made here. In that order.
Lab-grown or natural?
Both. We’re diamond nerds. A project with an unusual stone is the best part of the job, and we’re not going to tell you which one matters to you.
What we will tell you: neither is an investment. Diamonds don’t hold value the way people are told they do, lab or natural. The value is in the giving and in the wearing, and in a ring that’s still right in fifty years.
Lab-grown is simple. Consistent quality, clear pricing, and what most of our clients choose.
Natural is not simple. Rarer, harder, graded differently, and priced per project. Every one came out of the ground with its own history, and no two are alike. That’s the part we love. It just takes a conversation.
Either way the stone is certified, and we’ll walk you through it step by step.
Can I change this design?
Yes, and not just at the start.
This model is a structure, the shank and the setting. The stone, the metal, the proportions, the finish are all yours. Change any of it on this page, or tell us what you’re picturing and we’ll work from that instead.
Nothing is locked until you say so. You’ll see CAD renders, then hold a 3D-printed model before any gold is cast. Changes along the way are part of how we work, not a problem.
And you can be as involved as you want. Some clients want to weigh in on every detail. Others tell us what matters and hand us the rest. Both are normal.
Is the price shown the final price?
For the ring exactly as configured, yes. Add HST.
Change something outside the options here and we’ll quote it before anything is made. No surprises either way.
What happens after I order?
We reach out. Every time.
Ordering here starts the project, it doesn’t finish it. Someone from the studio gets in touch to go through your stone, your sizing, and anything you want changed, before a single thing is made.
From there we source the diamond, send you CAD renders, and put a 3D-printed model in your hand. Nothing gets cast until you’ve seen it and said yes.
